Within the annual BIG Project ME Awards competition organized by CPI Trade Media, Dubai Municipality represented by the GIS Center won the (Digital Transformation Champion of the Year award for the year 2020), as this year's award edition is dedicated to companies and institutions that provide essential services to the construction industry.
The GIS Center participated in the competition with the “Dubai BIM Roadmap Design and Implementation for Building Construction” project, which is concerned with preparing a road map for the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Dubai, in addition to designing unified standards at the level of Dubai that integrate with geographic information systems in cooperation with the Dubai Development Authority and the Planning and Development Department - Licensing.
