Within the framework of our continuous efforts to spread geospatial sciences and support the various government entities in the emirate, the GIS Center conducted a training workshop for IACAD employees about the most important geographic systems used in the Center, which are “DubaiHere System" and “Makani System". These systems enable users to benefit from many specialized tools that contribute to supporting their daily operations and tasks. "Dubai Here" system is an electronic system that works on a web browser or portable smart devices and provides 2D and 3D maps that contain all assets, landmarks, infrastructure, facilities, buildings and units in Dubai. As for Makani system, it is the geospatial addressing system used in the emirate, which helps customers by facilitating access to their destinations quickly and efficiently using the unified code available on the facades of all buildings in the emirate.
